FAQs

How do I search for an Item? You can search for any Title, Actor or Director, using the Search box in the right-hand column. There is also an advanced search feature for more specific search requirements.

How can I browse the catalogue?
You can browse for titles by format (DVD, VHS, UMD, BLU-RAY). You can also browse the catalogue by selecting a specific genre from the drop down menu provided. This option will enable you to look through both the Asia Extreme and Tartan Grindhouse labels. When on a title page you can also browse through the cast and crew that have been involved in that film and see if they have been involved in any other films in the Tartan catalogue simply by clicking on their names.

How do I manage my Shopping Basket?
To delete a title from the shopping cart, simply click the delete button to the right of the title. This will reduce the quantity required by 1 and automatically re-calculate the value of your basket. What is the ‘wish list’ feature? This feature enables you to save titles and purchase them at a later date. Your personal wish list can only be viewed by you when you are logged into the site. You can keep titles on it for as long as you like and there are no limits to the number you can put on it.

How do I Purchase items?
When you find a title you wish to buy click the “Buy” button to add the title to your shopping basket. These buttons can be found directly below the image of the sleeve. The results will then be displayed in the Shopping Basket section together with its price, quantity and total value of items ordered. When you have finished shopping and wish to pay for your items click on the checkout button. This will take you our checkout process where you will be required to enter your login information. If you are registered you will have to do so. This will require you to enter your email, full postal address and other contact details. You will then be asked to confirm your order. Click ‘Confirm Order’ to move the next step where you are required to confirm the Billing Address of the Card you intend to use for your purchase. You will then be transferred to SecureTradings secure Servers where you need to input your credit card details. If the transaction is authorised you will be returned to the Tartan website where an order reference is displayed. Please print this out and keep this page as the unique code is required by us should you have any queries on the order in the future. We will also send you an email with the full details of the order including the transaction number to help you identify the payment on your bank statements.

When will I receive my order?
When in stock, orders usually dispatched within 48 hours and are sent First Class. Within the United Kingdom, postage and packing is completely FREE. Out of stock items will be dispatched as soon as they are available, this may take up to 21 days. Deliveries usually take 3-5 working days from the date of dispatch. Orders placed for titles prior to release will be dispatched in full on the day of release.

What if I live abroad?
Tartan Video dispatches goods to anywhere in the world. £1 postage will be added to the total cost of your order. Please note that delivery time for international orders can be up to 14 days from date of dispatch. Can I have orders delivered to an address other than that of the billing address on the credit card I want to use for the purchase?

What Credit Card types can I use?
Currently we are able to Process Visa, Switch, Club, MasterCard, Delta and American Express credit and debit cards. We are at present unable to take payments from Diners Club or other card not already mentioned.

Do you store my Credit Card details?
No – all transaction are handled by our partner SecureTrading and Tartan do not store any financial data on your behalf.

Why do I receive an email asking me to confirm my registration?
If, when you initially register with Tartan Video you opt to receive further information from us, will send you an email asking you to confirm you wish to subscribe to our email lists. This is to ensure that we only send emails to those members who wish to receive this communications and reduces the amount of unwanted email in your in-box. Does Tartan share my Data with any other third parties? No. Tartan will not share your data with any third parties. You will only receive emails from us and our sister company Tartan Films if you elect to do so when registering. For further details please review our terms and conditions.

Can I change my address Details?
Yes. If you have previously registered with us, simply enter your email address and password on the log-in page. You will then have the option to change your billing address, email or login details.

What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
Click on the Accounts button, then click on 'Forgot Password' Link

How can I contact Tartan Video if I have a problem with my order?
